Lore about the Empire of Acrolon is quite common, though many histories were corrupted during the [[Dark Age]].

=History=

The Empire of Acrolon was originally organized as a coalition of resistance fighters led by [[Lucidus]] when he was a {{Category Mortal}} {{Category Nor}}. The Empire began in name at the end of the [[Barigor Invasion]] in 439 [[SC]]. The throne of the empire was located in the {{Category Shard}} of [[Acrolon]] on [[Argent Isle]] (both of which had different names before the empire was founded). The political leaders of each Shard (including Tonwei and Acrolon) swore allegiance to the Emperor in exchange for maintaining peace.

The Empire technically collapsed during [[The Fall]] at the beginning of the [[Dark Age]], when the {{Category Shard Gates}} and {{Category Patternsails}} stopped functioning, causing the Shards to lose contact with each other.

=Etymology=

The name "Acrolon" came from the [[Pelithine]] {{Category Language}}, meaning ''highest aspiration''. [[Fey]] leaders offered this name for the noble mission of the empire to promote the peace, safety, and prosperity of its members.
