* Alchemist’s Guild
** One of the two great guilds of Cistern, operating from their guildhall in the Fountain Market.  They devote some of their income to funding scrapping expeditions, with a particular interest in lost alchemic lore, as well as rare flora and fauna.
* Pumpjacks
* Western Ventures
** Association of merchant venturers from Three Cities who are invested in the Dust Road trade.  Factor Atosuqui represents the association from his villa in Gold Street.  They are also the backers of the Golden Cutlass mercenary expedition, led by Camargo.
* Priory of Cold Regard
** The Abbot is a powerful theurge, who rules a cult of fanatical followers from his ancient fortress in the Aban Saddhi mountains.  Abynetus the Scarred, the Abbot's representative, maintains the an embassy in Cistern's Priory Ward.  The Priory has long held an interest in recovering valuables, but with the reinvention of scrapping in Cistern, has become willing to out-source the work to scrapper companies.

** An investor's union of notables from Gold Street including the Pojani Vanguard mercenary company, the Holdfast, and the salter merchant Bursamurrus.
* Copper Bottle Investor’s Union (Amber)
** An investor's union including House Lucca, the Bluefingers of Dust Market, and a selection of Fountain Market Merchants.  Meets in the Copper Bottle.
* Four Points Company
** An investor's union of merchants in Trinore Plaza, with additional funding from the Strikers of Dust Market.  Meets in the Three Bastards.

====Yellow====
* Beggar’s Bounty
** An investor’s union including scions of minior houses, Vidian Neximi and Zenon Marishta, as well as ambitious commoner merchants, Mithat Twoblades and Lusha the Lucky.  They meet in Beggar's Palace.
* Lady Olantay
** Wealthy sorcerer-noble-in-exile from Three Cities.  Based in the House of Eyes in the Glass Halls.

** Davar (he/him, nomad Cisterni): from the Stars-Under-A-Lowering-Haze tribe.  He leads the new "scrapper tribe".

====Baewyn's Band of Blades====

* A new company, run out of offices in Gold Street.
** Baewyn (she/her, salter immigrant): one of the few survivors from the last expedition of the famous Black Lotus Company (a direct student of Sana!), she no longer goes into the field, but organizes and trains her own company, with some additional backing from the merchant Bursamurrus.

====Sandcutters====
* Yellow
* A long-time, reasonably-successful company.  Operates out of Dust Market and Trinore Plaza; often found in the Three Bastards.
** Zhon Notch-blade (he/him, njerezim Cisterni): leader of the Sandcutters.

====Larkhounds====
* Yellow
* A company that grew up from the alleys of Dust Market and made good in the scrapping trade.  Local heroes in Dust Market, taking their name from their haunts in the taverns along Larkshead Road.

====Warden's Wayfarers====
* Yellow-Foil
* Recently formed and backed by House Hajderaga.  They operate from a guildhall in Kadri's Irons.  Tough or skillful inmates of the prison may be offered a chance to speedily work off their debt to society by joining their ranks.  The company also has limited access to Hajderaga constructs for labor and defense.
** Arben “the Anvil” (he/him, njerezim Cisterni): warrior and former pit-fighter, known for his strength and enchanted great-maul.
** Cheltira the Painted (she/her, njerezim Cisterni): sorceress for the Wayfarers, often found consulting for the Hajderaga.  Named for the extensive henna-tattoos of her raiment.

====Goldjacks====
* Yellow-Foil
* Formed from the ranks of the Pumpjacks, they operate from a guild annex in the Stockyards.

====Luckstone Venturers====
* Amber
* Named for their "luckstone", an adamant eye they keep as a lucky token.  The company operates from offices in Trinore Plaza and has always had a focus on scrapping in the Brine Maze.
** Three-Eyed Malamhin (she/they, salter Cisterni): bearer of the luckstone and leader of the company.  A woman with an air of enigma about her, but generous with drinks and expedition gold.
** Nikola (he/him, njerezim Cisterni): right-hand man, stoic and taciturn.  Said to be an excellent woodsman and cook.

====Mistdevils====
* Amber-Foil
* A company of abhumans, operating from the Plaza of Mists.  Unnerving to many, but unquestionably capable.  Celebrities among the abhumans of the Plaza.
** Akrep (he/him, abhuman Cisterni): maned humanoid, like a genteel manticore, with talons, twin-rows of pointed teeth, and a spike-studded lion's tail.  Akrep is the leader of the mistdevils, with a calculating mind and keen senses, always planning two steps ahead.

====Vellum and Key====
* Red
* Rose from the dregs of Dust Market to become one of the most successful and renowned companies in Cistern.  They are named for their lucky break, a key and treasure map they found.
** Sirin Mapmaker (she/her, njerezim Cisterni): co-leader and face of the company, with a reputation for fair-dealing.
** Tanit Ironwise (she/her, Ba Ulati immigrant): co-leader and mechanist.  She is know for a love of drama and thrills, and her mechanical projectile weapons.

====Adamant Vow====
* Red
* The front-line delvers of the company are almost all armigers, mostly veterans who have mustered out of the Archon's Guard and sought new avenues for adventure and wealth.  They enjoy the favor of the Archon and the armigers, and operate from posh offices in Court Row.
** Najeem Lucca (he/him, njerezim Cisterni armiger): stern and commanding, almost to the point of cruelty.  A skilled combatant who served in the Archon's Guard, but better known as a theurge, communing with Ulashmaja and Druaj.
** Mergim Seseri (she/her, njerezim Cisterni armiger): spear-wielder and former cavalry scout-leader.  She is eager for gold and glory, but a soft touch for sob-stories.
