Fury is the oldest of the Origins. Before the recorded history of the First Age, the universe was shaped by the will of powerful creatures called Titans. The natural laws and lesser creatures of Fury are governed by the strongest of Titan wills. These gods among Titans warred with each other endlessly for singular dominance of the entire universe.
Content Lore Perspective
Now, however, Fury is almost entirely imprisoned by The Integrum. There are some places where The Integrum is weak or damaged that Fury can leak into the universe. In these places The Integrum is twisted by the will of still-imprisoned Titans who are served by Fury cults trying to free them.
Each content article includes a section called Lore, which describes how the information of the article is understood within the setting itself. As a matter of convenience and in service to consistency, this wiki is written from the perspective of the Integral Origin. All Lore entries are presented from the limits of knowledge of creatures of The Integrum. This aligns with several goals:

The Integrum
Origins
The Integrum is the second oldest of the Origins. During the First Age, the Creators invaded the universe from an unknown place. They warred with the Titans and won. The Creators imprisoned the Titans within a vast machine called The Apparatus. This machine created The Integrum, which is the natural world that the universe is today.
The setting is divided into four Origins of power:

Natural laws of The Integrum are governed by the deterministic design of the Creators as manifest in The Apparatus. These natural laws are the most similar to the real world, making The Integrum the most familiar Origin for most players.
* Fury: The oldest of the Origins, seeking singular dominance of the universe, now imprisoned.
* Integral: The second Origin, which imprisoned Fury to create order and seeks stability in the universe.
* Strange: The third Origin, born from damage to The Integrum during The Shattering.
* Void: The fourth Origin, also born from damage to The Integrum during The Shattering which seeks to end all things, destroying the universe.

After the defeat and imprisonment of Fury, and until the end of the Gilded Age, The Integrum comprised the entire universe. However, at the end of the Gilded Age there was a cataclysm called The Shattering, in which one of the Creators of The Integrum was destroyed. This cataclysm gave birth to the third origin, Strange.
Rules
At the furthest reaches of the oceans of The Integrum lies the Strange Sea, far from the realms of mortals. It is across the Strange Sea that this origin can be found. Unlike The Integrum, whose laws follow a logical pattern of cause and effect, and Fury, whose laws are dictated by the will of a rational being, the laws of Strange are shifting, fluid, and unquantifiable. Strange is the origin of dream and madness.

The same cataclysm that created Strange also created Void. The Shattering earned its name because a large part of The Integrum was literally shattered. Beyond the broken part of the universe there was only an empty void called The Abyss. This is where the Origin of Void was born.
** Attacking and Defending

** Size
At a cosmic level, the first three Origins are at odds with each other. Fury seeks a freedom which will destroy The Integrum and Strange. The Integrum seeks repairs that would eradicate Strange and forever imprison Fury. Strange seeks to replace The Integrum and absorb Fury. However, Void is the one thing that all three Origins will unite against.

Void seeks nothing less than the complete annihilation of all things. The existence of the universe is an offense to the powers of Void. Indeed, it is the existence of Void that prevents the Origins from eradicating each other, because no one Origin can overcome Void alone.

Notes
A unified perspective of history is provided from the perspective of the origin of The Integrum. This version of history is split into (listed chronologically) The Lost Age, The First Age, The Gilded Age, The Shattered Age, The Dark Age, and The Dawn Age.

* Health, fatigue
** What if fatigue was split into mental fatigue and physical fatigue, and became a unified mechanic for lots of things, like encumbrance = physical fatigue
** Relatedly, what if armor didn't have special rules about agility checks and movement, and instead was just encumbrance, and by extension physical fatigue
** Physical fatigue would cover things like might/agility checks and defenses, physical attack rolls, movement speed, and initiative
** Mental fatigue would cover things like wits/resolve checks and defenses, magical effect rolls, and initiative
* Rituals of Parturition are how childbirth works
* Size is a huge variable in combat, amplifying HP, physical damage, might, and reducing defense

* Shattering breaks The Integrum into an arbitrary number of "timeline dimensions"

This section describes common features to the wiki articles that describe the setting, to help guide the reader. There are two main article types:

 1. Content: Articles describing the setting itself
 2. Rules: Articles describing various rule systems and mechanics that can be used to play games in the setting
 3. Meta: Articles such as this, which describe the information presented within the wiki itself

Content Lore Perspective

Each content article includes a section called Lore, which describes how the information of the article is understood within the setting itself. As a matter of convenience and in service to consistency, this wiki is written from the perspective of the Integral Origin. All Lore entries are presented from the limits of knowledge of creatures of The Integrum. This aligns with several goals:

 1. This allows for the reader to enjoy a level of mystery present to most players of the setting.
 2. This allows for a more dramatic sense of strangeness when discussing concepts in the setting that are meant to be truly alien and incomprehensible to logical thinking (such as Strange).
 3. This allows for a degree of creative interpretation and elaboration for anyone who cares to run games in this setting.
 4. The language of the setting itself, Enchiridian, can serve as the language of The Integrum, and can thus be easily localized any real-world languages that may be useful. For example, in this wiki, Enchiridian is expressed in various forms of English.

Origins

The setting is divided into four Origins of power:

 • Fury: The oldest of the Origins, seeking singular dominance of the universe, now imprisoned.
 • Integral: The second Origin, which imprisoned Fury to create order and seeks stability in the universe.
 • Strange: The third Origin, born from damage to The Integrum during The Shattering.
 • Void: The fourth Origin, also born from damage to The Integrum during The Shattering which seeks to end all things, destroying the universe.
