| The Lost Age refers to the time before The Lords of Necessity came to the world. During this age the only Origin was Fury, and lore from this age is preached by the Fury cults that listen to the whispers of the imprisoned Titans from The Lost Age. The Titans claim to have ruled The Lost Age, battling with each other for supremacy of the universe. All of reality bent to their will, and without their will, there was only chaos.

| The First Age began when Bastion appeared in the universe, heralding the arrival of The Lords of Necessity. Lore from this age is nearly completely lost, with only a handful of unverifiable, anonymous accounts from the perspective of The Integrum. Conflicting stories are told to Fury cults by their imprisoned masters. It is generally believed that there was a great war between The Lords of Necessity and the Titans. The Lords of Necessity won the war and imprisoned the Titans into The Apparatus. The powerful energies of the Titans became fuel for The Apparatus, which began working to create The Integrum. The end of The First Age is marked by the completion of The Integrum origin of power, and the awakening of the first mortals.

The age began with the awakening of the first mortals of The Integrum. It is said that the first mortals came from Bastion after the completion of The Integrum. There were four original mortal races of The Integrum, and each settled a different mortal realm. Their magic and technology were beyond modern imagining, and they thrived in this age.

| In exchange for the aid of the Dragons and Immortals, The Lords of Necessity granted them license to live within The Integrum, though they had to be bound to Integral bodies, so that their Fury did not corrupt the Integrum. Some refused their new bodies and were imprisoned like the Titans. The Gilded Age ended with the first Great Cataclysm, The Shattering.
