Sporadic describes a quality of realms. A realm which is sporadic to another realm overlaps it in a pseudo-spatial dimension, in the same manner as a pervasive realm. The difference between sporadic and pervasive realms is that sporadic realms do not overlap in totality. Usually there is a form of magic that allows perception into and travel to the adjacent realm. An example of sporadic realm connection are the Shards and the Strange Sea. Shards are sporadic to the Strange Sea. The parts of the Strange Sea overlapped by the Shards are called the Dream Shoals.
