Sporadic describes a quality of realms. A realm which is sporadic to another realm overlaps it in a pseudo-spatial dimension, in the same manner as a pervasive realm. The difference between sporadic and pervasive realms is that sporadic realms do not overlap in totality. Usually there is a form of magic that allows perception into and travel to the adjacent realm. An example of sporadic realm connection are the Template:Category Apparatus Shards and the Strange Sea. Shards are sporadic to the Strange Sea. The parts of the Strange Sea overlapped by the Shards are called the Dream Shoals.
