History

The Empire of Acrolon was originally organized as a coalition of resistance fighters led by Lucidus when he was a Mortal Nor. The Empire began in name at the end of the Barigor Invasion in 439 SC. The throne of the empire was located in the Shard of Acrolon on Argent Isle (both of which had different names before the empire was founded). The political leaders of each Shard (including Tonwei and Acrolon) swore allegiance to the Emperor in exchange for maintaining peace.

The Empire technically collapsed during The Fall at the beginning of the Dark Age, when the Shard Gates and Patternsails stopped functioning, causing the Shards to lose contact with each other.

Etymology

The name "Acrolon" came from the Pelithine Language, meaning highest aspiration. Fey leaders offered this name for the noble mission of the empire to promote the peace, safety, and prosperity of its members.
