Acrolon (Enchiridian) is one of the Shards of The Integrum. It is the home realm of the Nor races.
History
Like all Shards of The Integrum, Acrolon's history begins during The Shattering at the end of the Gilded Age, when the Shards were created. During the Gilded Age, Acrolon and the other Shards did not exist, as there was only a single Mortal Realm. Prior to the Gilded Age, The Integrum did not exist, as it was constructed during the First Age.
Etymology
The Shard was originally named Norheim by its native inhabitants, the Nor. In the late Shattered Age, it became the location for the throne of Empire of Acrolon. Gradually the name Acrolon replaced Norheim, and by the end of the Shattered Age, Acrolon became the most common name for the Shard.
Shattered Age
Major events of the Shattered Age of Acrolon include, in chronological order:
- The Shattering (0 SC): Acrolon experienced this great cataclysm, just like the rest of The Integrum.
- Rise of the Nor (0-10 SC): The mortals of Acrolon were diminished from the Template:Category Paragons Race of the Gilded Age, becoming the short-lived and rationally-minded Nor.
- Ragnarok (210-233 SC): Acrolon's First Gods War, also called Ragnarok, Frumadom, or First Doom, occurred in the middle of the Shattered Age. It was a brutal affair with only two known survivors.
- Elfmoot (312 SC): Fey Patternsails journey through the Astral Sky to reach Acrolon.
- Principalis (390 SC): The creation of the first Shard Gate by the Arcane Guild.
- Barigor Conquest (424-436 SC): Also called Oerdom or Second Doom, this was the invasion of Acrolon by the Ning of Tonwei through the first Shard Gate, as well as the subsequent wars and the founding of the Empire of Acrolon.
- Shadeskin Conspiracy (430-456 SC): Also called Threidom or Third Doom, this refers to a powerful cult of the Harvester of the Marrow Deep which threatened the destruction of Acrolon until it was thwarted.
- Rise of Grahlheim (430-460 SC): The rise of the Garmyr as the dominant race of Ferals in Acrolon.
- Butcher of Bloodstone (458-490 SC): Also known as the Feordom, or the First Dead War, this was the failed, decades-long attempt by the Archdemons known as Orcus to invade Acrolon.
- Sindra's March (609-610 SC): Also known as the Feifdom, or the Second Dead War, this was the failed military campaign by a rogue Herald of Nexia across Acrolon.
- Titanfall (684-688 SC): Also known as Seekdom, this heralded the end of the Shattered Age and the beginning of the Dark Age of Acrolon.
Dark Age
Major events of the Dark Age of Acrolon include, in chronological order:
- The Fall: Acrolon experienced this great cataclysm, just like the rest of The Integrum.
