Acrolon ([[Enchiridian]]) is one of the {{Category Shards}} of [[The Integrum]]. It is the home realm of the {{Category Nor}} races.


Like all mortal realms of The Integrum, Acrolon's history begins at the end of the [[First Age]], when The Integrum was constructed.

During the Gilded Age, the [[gods]] of Acrolon, called [[primarchs]] were appointed to lead the nor races to prosperity. The primarch of [[Night]] ([[Anyot]]) was particularly noteworthy for crafting a powerful, magical, contagious curse. Called [[Anyot's Kiss]], the curse permanently changed the bodies of those affected into animalistic shapes. Because these shapes bred true, this led to the establishment of the [[Feral]] bloodlines of mortals.

After the invention of [[pattern sailing]], they met fey explorers from [[Pelithos]]. The nor were the slowest to master the craft of pattern sailing, and so they were visited by azj from [[Kasyat]] and ruk from [[Tonwei Unchained | Tochiban]]. Both fey and azj settled peacefully in Acrolon, however the ruk invaded in a realm-spanning war called the [[Ruk Conquest]].

Acrolon is particularly noteworthy for being the birthplace of the allied resistance to the ruk conquerors. After victory over the Tochiban, the alliance became known as the Empire of Acrolon, which spread across all four mortal realms before the end of the Gilded Age.
The Shard was originally named ''Norheim'' by its native inhabitants, the {{Category Nor}}. In the late [[Shattered Age]], it became the location for the throne of [[Empire of Acrolon]]. Gradually the name ''Acrolon'' replaced ''Norheim'', and by the end of the [[Shattered Age]], ''Acrolon'' became the most common name for the Shard.

History

Like all Shards of The Integrum, Acrolon's history begins during The Shattering at the end of the Gilded Age, when the Shards were created. During the Gilded Age, Acrolon and the other Shards did not exist, as there was only a single Mortal Realm. Prior to the Gilded Age, The Integrum did not exist, as it was constructed during the First Age.

Etymology
