Acrolon

Acrolon is one of the four mortal realms of The Integrum. It is the home realm of the nor races.

History

Like all mortal realms of The Integrum, Acrolon's history begins at the end of the First Age, when The Integrum was constructed.

Gilded Age

During the Gilded Age, the gods of Acrolon, called primarchs were appointed to lead the nor races to prosperity. The primarch of Night (Anyot) was particularly noteworthy for crafting a powerful, magical, contagious curse. Called Anyot's Kiss, the curse permanently changed the bodies of those affected into animalistic shapes. Because these shapes bred true, this led to the establishment of the Feral bloodlines of mortals.

After the invention of pattern sailing, they met fey explorers from Pelithos. The nor were the slowest to master the craft of pattern sailing, and so they were visited by azj from Kasyat and ruk from Tochiban. Both fey and azj settled peacefully in Acrolon, however the ruk invaded in a realm-spanning war called the Ruk Conquest.

Acrolon is particularly noteworthy for being the birthplace of the allied resistance to the ruk conquerors. After victory over the Tochiban, the alliance became known as the Empire of Acrolon, which spread across all four mortal realms before the end of the Gilded Age.

Shattered Age

Like all mortal realms, Acrolon experienced the namesake cataclysm known as The Shattering at the beginning of the Shattered Age. With the failure of the magic of pattern sailing, the multi-realm influence of the Empire of Acrolon was no more. Acrolon still maintained a line of emperors, but they could only govern the lands of Acrolon.

Shortly after The Shattering, The First Godswar took place. As a result, nearly all of the primarchs of Acrolon were killed. They would be succeeded by a second generation of primarchs to lead the nor people.
